Journalist Sagar-Rooney murder case report again delayed 94 times.

The date of submission of investigation report in journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Mehrun Rooney’s murder case has been postponed again. The investigating officer of the case took 94 dates so far to complete the investigation. The court has fixed January 4 as the next day for submitting the report. Thursday (1st December) was the date for submitting the investigation report of the case. But the investigating agency of the case did not submit the RAB report. For this reason, the Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Rashidul Alam fixed the new date for filing the court report. Sagar, news editor of private TV channel Machranga and his wife Rooney, a senior reporter of ATN Bangla, were killed in the morning of February 11, 2012 in their rented house in West Rajabazar of the capital. Nowsher Alam Roman, the brother of Rooney who died in the incident, filed a murder case at the Sherebangla Nagar police station. First, the investigating officer of the case was an SI of that police station. After four days, the investigation of this sensational murder case was handed over to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB). After more than two months of investigation, DB failed to solve the mystery. Later, on the order of the High Court, the investigation of the murder case was handed over to RAB on April 18 of the same year. So far 8 people have been arrested as suspects in this case. They are Rafiqul Islam, Bakul Mia, Masum Mintu, Kamrul Hasan alias Arun, Abu Saeed, 2 security guards of that house, Palash Rudra Pal and Enamul Haque and Sagar-Runi’s family friend Tanvir Rahman. Among them, Tanveer and Palash are out of jail on bail but the rest are still in jail.

It is known that the founder of the traditional Charchina Darbar Sharif, Pir Qutubul Alam Shahsufi, Hazrat Maulana Neshar Uddin Ahmad (RA) established this Charchina Darbar after obtaining perfection in Tariqa and Tasawuf from Furfura Sharif. Thousands of scholars came out of the first Kamil madrasa of Bengal and Assam established by him and made important contribution by establishing madrasas, mosques, khanqahs and chawab mahfils in different parts of the country. The organizers called upon everyone to cooperate so that the continuation of the social reform of the Darbar Sharif has been maintained after a hundred years. Every day after Fajr and Maghrib prayers, Hazrat Pir Saheb teaches and advises in Mahfil. Apart from this, prominent ulama of Darbar Sharif discussed the topic.
