Documents of 30,000 customers missing from Rajuk: High Court seeks explanation.
Suman Khan :
The High Court has sought an explanation from Rajuk regarding the disappearance of records of about 30,000 customers from the Capital Development Authority (Rajuk) server. Rajuk chairman has been asked to submit an explanation in this regard within 30 days. Yesterday Monday (January 2) Justice Md. The High Court bench of Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat gave the order. ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan presented the report published in the newspaper in the court. Incidentally, since May 2019, Rajuk has been serving customers in a modern way. All customers’ building information was also stored on the company’s website. Recently, around 30,000 customer application documents related to building construction approval have disappeared from Rajuk’s server. It is still in the dark as to whether it is a mere technical glitch, or whether an individual or group is involved in the incident. On the other hand, questions have also been raised about Rajuk’s willingness to reveal the cause of this disaster. Because, even after three weeks of the incident, this government agency did not even make any investigation committee.
