Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 27th edition of the International Trade Fair (DITF). Yesterday Sunday (January 1st), he announced the opening of the fair by participating directly in the event organized at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Sector 4 of Purbachal, Rupganj Upazila, Narayanganj, near the capital Dhaka. At this time he said that infrastructure is important for business and development. So we are developing all roads, railways, waterways. Besides, the government is developing all kinds of transportation infrastructure including roads. The most challenging was the Padma Bridge. That too has been built. Entire Bangladesh has come to our digital network. For this reason, we have provided computer education and opened mobile phones to the private sector. So that the service reaches everyone. Sheikh Hasina said, the current diplomacy will not be political diplomacy, but economic diplomacy. I instructed each embassy to look at export trade, what products are in high demand in a country, what we can export or where we can bring investment from. Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastgir Gazi, Commerce Ministry Senior Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, FBBCI President Jasim Uddin spoke at the opening ceremony of the International Trade Fair-2023. Vice Chairman and CEO of Export Development Bureau AHM Ahsan delivered the welcome speech at the opening ceremony.
