The police recovered the body of a young woman in the Pagla river of Chapainawabganj. The body of a young woman named Baby (25) was recovered from Pagla river near Mollatola High School, Kuthnipara, Ghora Pakhia Union, Shibganj Upazila, Chapainawabganj District, on Sunday (September 3) around 11 am.

The deceased is the daughter of the deceased Md. Omar Ali of East Chunakhali Lala Para village of Ranihati Union of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila. The deceased’s uncle, Md Shah Alam, said that my niece left the house early in the morning to collect leaves in the mango garden. Then we family members came here after we saw his picture on mobile through social media Facebook. My niece has head problems since childhood, she is mentally unbalanced.

Locals said that in the morning we saw the body of an unidentified woman floating in the Pagla river and informed the police. Later, Inspector Sukomal Sangeya of Shibganj police station arrived at the spot along with the force, recovered the body of the young woman from the river and sent it to Chapainawabganj Sadar Modern Hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Shibganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Chowdhury Zobair Ahmed said that the body of the dead young woman was recovered and sent to Chapainawabganj 250-bed specialized district hospital morgue for autopsy.
