Police recovered a large quantity of banned Indian cosmetics from Benapole land port area in Jessore.
These prohibited cosmetics were recovered from various points of the port at 10:30 am on Sunday 3/9/23.
According to the police, a large quantity of banned cosmetics is coming to Bangladesh on the Bandhan Express train from India. On the basis of such news, raids were carried out in the port area and various cosmetics worth about 16 thousand rupees were recovered. The smugglers fled when they sensed the presence of the police.
In this regard, the officer-in-charge of Benapole Port Police Station OC Kamal Hossain Bhuiyan said that the operation is continuing to catch the fugitive smuggling suspects.
