Distribution of free seeds and fertilizers to marginal farmers in Sariakandi.

Free winter season seeds and fertilizers have been distributed among the marginal farmers in Sariakandi, Bogra, keeping in mind the motto “Agriculture is prosperity”.
On November 21, 2022 (Monday) in the morning of Upazila Parishad Ground, organized by Upazila Agriculture Extension Department, in the 2022-23 fiscal year free seed and fertilizer distribution ceremony among small and marginal farmers under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Rezaul Karim as chief guest Bogra-1 Constituency MP Sahadara Mannan handed over seeds and fertilizers to the farmers.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Abdul Halim delivered the welcome speech at the seed and fertilizer distribution ceremony under the supervision of Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Kudrat Ali. Sariakandi Upazila Parishad Chairman Rezaul Karim Montu Mondal, Upazila Vice Chairman Ayub Ali Tarafdar, Sariakandi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rajesh Kumar Chakraborty, Upazila Farmers League President Saiful Islam Dukhu, beneficiary farmer Chan Mia and others also spoke.
According to the Upazila Agriculture Directorate, free seeds and fertilizers will be provided to a total of 6,710 farmers this season. Out of this, 1,500 will be given wheat, 600 maize, 3,200 mustard, 30 sunflower, 60 onion, 50 mung dal, 20 masur dal and 1,250 five types of vegetable seeds.
