 Saifur Rahman Shamim, Kurigram :

 A woman named Beli Begum (35) has been arrested by the Kachakata Police Station on charges of cheating a young man of Chittagong with the lure of a valuable boundary magnet pillar at Kachakata of Nageshwari, Kurigram.

 The woman is the wife of Md. Nazrul Islam of Satipur village in Kachakata.  On Sunday (November 27) morning, the police sent the woman to jail through the court.  The incident took place on Saturday (November 26) night in Satipur village.  Ali Ashraf, the victim of fraud, is the son of Abul Khair of Nandigram area of ​​Mirsharai police station in Chittagong district.

 According to the case and statement, a person named Apple from Satipur area of ​​Kachakata police station of Nageshwari upazila got to know Ali Ashraf of that area because of his job in garments in Chittagong.  Later at home, Apple tells Ali Ashraf on her cell phone that her aunt has magnet boundary pillars.  He was lured to Kurigram by saying that it was worth a lot of money.

 3-4 people including Mami Beli Begum along with fake cement boundary pillar wrapped with black tape and demanded money for apples and apples.  They threatened to kill Ali Ashraf as he could not pay.  Later, at some point, the woman and her friends kept Ali Ashraf in the house and closed the door.  The victim Ali Ashraf broke the door of the house and ran away to eat rice near the house.  Later, Ali Ashraf gave details when the locals arrested him.  The locals informed the police and the police came and rescued him and took him to the police station.

 Ali Ashraf, the victim, said that Apple and his aunt called me yesterday Saturday after being lured by the magnet boundary pillar.  They took me to a house on Saturday night and showed me fake boundary pillars and demanded money.  They started torturing me and threatened to kill me because I couldn’t pay.  I escaped somehow and saved my life.  Later I came to the police station and filed a case in their name.

 Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kachakata Police Station Golam Mortuza said that a person named Ali Ashraf was rescued from the spot after getting information.  Fake boundary pillars made of cement, toy pistols and knives were recovered in the fraud.

 One woman has been arrested on the charge of cheating and efforts are on to arrest the others.
