7 thousand 400 pieces of Yaba were recovered by raiding the passenger bus at Sharsha Navaran Satkhira junction.

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 7 thousand 400 pieces of yaba in a passenger bus at Navaran Satkhira Junction of Sharsha Upazila of Jessore. At around 9:30 am on Sunday (26th February 2023), a vigilant patrol of Amrakhali BGB check post recovered this huge quantity of yaba. However, BGB members could not arrest anyone for their involvement in drug trafficking. Commander of Jessore 49 BGB Battalion, Lt. Col. Ahmed Hasan Jamil said, based on BGB’s own intelligence information, at around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, one of the Bablu transports headed from Satkhira to Jessore, under the supervision of Major Md. Selimuddoza and led by Subedar Md. Ahad Ali, at Navaran-Satkhira intersection in Sharsha. 7400 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered by searching the bus number Khulna Metro J-11-0124). After the interrogation of the passengers present, it was revealed that the man got down from the bus after realizing the presence of the BGB, leaving the bag before the smuggler BGB arrived at the scene.
