To keep the promise, a day-long workshop on National Leprosy Control Program was held on Wednesday at Upazila Health Complex meeting room under the initiative of Upazila Health Directorate and civil NGO Damien Foundation. Honorable Prime Minister, to make Bangladesh leprosy free by 2030.
DSP Yusuf Ahmed, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Khalid Saifullah presided over the welcome speech by Asaduzzaman, Rajshahi Region Coordinator of Damian Foundation. Upazila Women Affairs Officer Manoranjan Pal, Upazila Cooperative Officer Samchul Haque, Social Service Officer (Acting) Sahidul Islam, Patnitala Press Club and Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee President Bulbul Chowdhury, Damien Foundation’s TLCA Sujata Rani, Damien Foundation’s CF Helarius Tudu and others spoke. Occasionally. . Later some items including Horlicks were distributed by the Damien Foundation to the family members of the leprosy patients.
