No student has passed the SSC exam in Khamar Baraibari School of Kurigram.

No student from Khamar Barai Bari High School of Kurigram Sadar Upazila has passed the SSC examination this year.

 On Monday (November 28), the results of this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations were published.  In the published results, the parents of other classes of students are disappointed as no student who participated in the examination from that school has passed. It is known that four students have registered to participate in the SSC examination this year.  However, two people participated in the exam.  The other two are married.  As it is an area affected by grasslands and river erosion, there is a crisis of school-going students due to early marriage of girls and parents’ interest in madrassa education.  At the same time, the principal of Khamar Barai Bari High School said that the result was not as expected.  However, the locals claim that there is no supervision of the education officials towards the institution, which has resulted in such bad results.

 The head teacher of the school.  Rezaul Haque told Jago News that this is the first time from my institution that the number of passers in the SSC exam is zero.  Last year seven students from here appeared in the exam and all seven passed.  But this year both of my school exam failed in history.  I hope that we will be able to come back next year. Morsheda Akhter Meem, a student who failed in the SSC examination from that school, said, “I failed in the history subject in the SSC examination from Khamar Bari High School.  Results in other subjects were fairly good.  I failed by getting one less mark in history subject only in objective.

 Kurigram Sadar Upazila Secondary Education Officer.  Zahurul Haque said, the information given by you is correct.  No student of Khamar Barai Bari High School could pass.  We will look into the matter.
