The traditional Islampur Gaindya market of Rajasthali upazila of Rangamati hill district has a plentiful supply of flower brooms. All over the country this natural resource flower broom is highly valued throughout the year. Generally, the flower brooms are produced naturally in the mountains during the winter season. During this season, the locals collect flower brooms from the hills and bring them to the market for sale. Traders from different regions of Bangladesh buy from the locals and supply them all over the country. Talking to some traders, it is known that they buy flower brooms at 130-150 rupees per hundred. Local sellers said that due to the small number of traders, they had to sell at relatively low prices. However, the locals expect better prices in the near future.
