The vast field is like a dreamy world surrounded by yellow.

Abdullah Al Mamun Jessore district representative :

The fields of Jessore Manirampur, Keshabpur, Abhaynagar Jhikargacha, Sharsha upazila are now full of turmeric. Nature is dressed in a beautiful ‘yellow color’. All over the district, the harvest fields are full of the smell of mustard flowers. On a dewy winter morning, the wide field covered with a sheet of fog is like a dreamy world surrounded by yellow. The yellow flowers of the mustard green plant shimmer in the golden winter sun. This is a unique beauty. As if nature has come back to life. Everywhere you look, there is a dazzling array of yellow mustard flowers. The humming of bees collecting honey from the petals of mustard flowers and the movement of butterflies from one flower to another is a unique natural scene. A truly enchanting moment. The morning dew drops and the sweet morning sun touch those flowers. The farmers of the district are working day and night in the hope of good yield. Agricultural officials are not sitting alongside the farmers. As there is no natural calamity in the current rabi season and the environment for mustard cultivation is favorable, there is a possibility of bumper yield of potato, wheat and maize along with mustard. Officials of the District Agriculture Extension Department believe that if the farmers in the rural townships can bring home this mustard on time and if the selling price is good, the interest of the farmers in Boro paddy cultivation will increase.

Poush winter is shaking the bones, low income people are in trouble due to the cold frosty wind in Konkan. Many do not leave the house without necessity. Motorcycle drivers, vans and autorickshaw drivers and passengers have to suffer in severe winter. On the surface, it can be seen that some people have lit fires in different Hat Bazar Mohallas of Jessore Monirampur Upazila and come together to ward off the winter. A group of people gathered in front of Raju’s tea shop in Vijayarampur village in Manirampur market and set fire to old clothes. When asked to know, they told Asharya Perdiya that it is very cold in this winter by wearing clothes. We have made a fire to ward off this severe winter. After two days, the sun shone on Friday, but on Saturday, the low-income people faced difficulties in moving in the cold wind. Abul, a van driver of Vijayrampur village in the municipal area of Manirampur upazila, said that it is very difficult to drive the van in this severe winter, but what to do if I sleep at home, my family will not be able to run.
