Sheikh Kamal II Bangladesh Youth in Kurigram. Games Inter Upazila Swimming Competition held.

Sheikh Kamal 2nd Bangladesh Youth Games-2023 inter-upazila youth swimming competition was held in Kurigram.  Zilla Parishad Chairman (former MP) Alhaj Md. Zafar Ali inaugurated the swimming competition at Zilla Parishad Sadar Dak Bungalow Pond at 11 am on Thursday morning.

 Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Md Faridul Islam, District Sports Association General Secretary Saeed Hasan Loban, newly elected General Secretary Redwanul Haque Dulal, Vice President Bir Muktijodha Sirajul Islam Tuku, District Awami League Vice President Chanalal Baksi, Kurigram Press Club General Secretary were present.  Abdul Khalek Farooq and others.

 Redwanul Haque Dulal, the newly elected general secretary of Jala Sports Association, said that 16 people participated in the 50m freestyle swimming, breaststroke, breaststroke and butterfly competition in 4 events.  Anjali Rani came first, Munni Akhtar second, Habiba third in the 50m freestyle among girls.  Anjali Rani came first, Faria Akhtar Nupur came second in the breaststroke competition.  Faria Akhtar came first, Anjali second in butterfly swimming.  Anjali Rani came first, Munni Akhtar came second in chit swimming.

 In boys 50m freestyle, Noor Mohammed won 1st, Ismail Sarkar 2nd, Qayyum Ali 3rd.  In the breaststroke competition, Ah Roman from Rajarhat Upazila was first, Ismail Sarkar from Sadar was second and Noor Mohammad was third.  Ashikur Rahman from Rajarhat 1st, Atiqul Islam from Sadar Upazila 2nd and Qayyum 3rd in butterfly swimming.  Atiqul Islam of Sadar upazila came first, Ashikur Rahman of Rajarhat upazila came second and Sohel Rana came third in the swimming competition.

 It should be noted that the first place winner of the swimming competition was given a cash prize of one and a half thousand taka, and the second place winner was given a medal and certificate with one thousand taka.
