Satkania Lawyers Association and journalists working in Satkania formed a human chain against Jasim Uddin, Chairman of Nakania Union, who filed a case under the ICT Act in the name of Syed Akkas Uddin, Zilla Parishad member Abdul Alim and the publisher and editor of Chittagong News.

A demand has been made to withdraw the false case from the human chain. With a 48-hour ultimatum, the general secretary of Satkania Lawyers’ Association, Advocate Meshbah Uddin Chowdhury Kochir, said that a case has been filed against journalist Syed Akkas Uddin, including 3 people, for reporting an incident in Sonakania and after making a mocking comment about Jasim Satkania Senior Associate Judge of Sonakania, we are Satkania Lawyers’ Association. We strongly condemn him, if Chairman Jasim does not retract his statement within the next 48 hours, we will be forced to approach the Satkania Lawyers’ Society and Journalists’ Society Act.

Syed Akkas Uddin, editor and publisher of Dainik Sakal Samad and Chittagong Sangbad also spoke on the said human bond.
