People of Sonargaon wants “Boat Marker” nomination in the next Election – former MP Qaiser

“Mograpara Union is the home of Sonargaon Awami League, so we should keep the strong base of Awami League in Mograpara and bring the tide of Awami League to Sonargaon in the next election”; said former MP of Narayanganj – 3 constituencies and general secretary of Sonargaon Awami League Mr. Abdullah Al Qaiser Hasnat. He said this at the workers conference of Awami League in Sonargaon Mograpara Union of Narayanganj on Saturday 21 January.

After the announcement of a three member committee of Sonargaon Upazila Awami League last year, as a full-fledged committee announcement process, 10 unions and 1 municipality of Sonargaon are conducting worker conferences and committee formation activities. As a part of this, workers conference was held in Mograpara Union.

Sonargaon Upazila Awami League President Ed.  Shamsul Islam Bhuiyan was the chief guest, as special guest Abdullah Al Qaiser was present in the conference along with Vice President Engineer Masudur Rahman Masum, Former General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Kalam, Upazila Awami League Leader Monir Hossain, Jubo League President Nannu, Former Central Jubo Mahila League Leader Nasreen Sultana Jhara, Mograpara Union Chairman Arif.  Masud Babu, former district Awami League leader Dr. Abu Zafar Chowdhury Biru along with leaders and workers of district and upazila Awami League and its member organizations. Mograpara Union Awami League President Golap chaired the conference with the participation of thousands of leaders and activists in a festive atmosphere.

It is to be noted that in the elections after 2009, “Boat Marker” nominations were not given from Sonargaon, so this time the leaders and workers of Sonargaon Awami League are determined to bring boat marker nominations in the upcoming elections in Sonargaon by forming Upazila, Union and Ward Awami League in a well-organized manner.
