Of Kurigram to enliven the spirit of Ekush, Construction of temporary Shahid Minar for children and teenagers in neighborhood.

In order to spread the spirit and language of the martyrs among the children and teenagers, the children and teenagers in the neighborhood of Kurigram are making Shahid Minar out of bamboo wood, banana tree and colored paper. Local cultural organization Prachhad Kurigram is encouraging them in this work.
The language movement of 1952 was an extreme chapter in Bengali national life. In exchange for the sacrifice of language martyrs, we Bengali nation got the right of mother tongue. This day is now celebrated as International Mother Language Day all over the world. Once upon a time around the day, children and teenagers in the neighborhoods and neighborhoods used to pay respect by building martyr minar with different materials. Its numbers have now dwindled to a great extent. To spread the spirit of Ekush among children and teenagers, the local cultural organization Prachhad has organized this competition for the construction of Shahid Minar for the 3rd time in the district-mahalla of Kurigram district headquarters.
The event has received a response. Munna, a student of Mistripara in Kurigram municipal area, said that we have constructed a temporary Shaheed Minar next to the house not to participate in the competition, but to pay tribute to the language martyrs of 52.
More than 300 temporary Shaheed Minars have been constructed in different neighborhoods of the District Headquarters. The unbelievers are also encouraging the construction of these temporary Shahad Minars. Bimal Chandra Sarkar, a former government official of Harikesh area of Kurigram city, said that when we were children, we used to pay tribute to the brave martyrs of twenty-one years by constructing Shaheed Minar with various materials. Now it is not so visible. Since the last 3 years, cultural organization Prachhad Kurigram has been encouraging the children to build the Shaheed Minar. We parents are also supporting the construction of temporary Shaheed Minar for our children.
Satkuri Roy Nilu, general secretary of the National Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad, said that this initiative of Prachhad Kurigram will play a big role in enlivening children with the spirit of twenty-one. Dulal Bose, a cultural organizer and the general secretary of the 1971 Khatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, said that this event will undoubtedly enliven the children and teenagers in the spirit of Bengali and the spirit of the liberation war.
Organizer of the organizing organization Imte Ahsan Shilu and President Zulkar Nain Swapan said that this event is not a competition but to enliven children and teenagers with the spirit of twenty-one. People from all walks of life, including cultural workers, hope that such initiatives will spread across the country.
Three people died on the same day in Roumari, Kurigram.

Three people, including a woman, died on the same day in separate incidents in Roumari upazila of Kurigram.
A child named Jihad Mia (10) died after being run over by a drug company car in the upazila’s Kartimari Saidabad switch gate area around 12 noon on Monday. The deceased child is the son of Zia Rahman of the same area.
Also, in the morning of the same day, a man named Arifur Islam committed suicide by insulting his wife in Char Tapur Char Jamai Para area of Bandaver Union of the upazila.
Meanwhile, a woman named Shahiman Begum (60) of Kheyarchar Char Para area of Jadurchar Union of Upazila committed suicide by hanging herself. The deceased woman is the wife of Md. Shahid Mia of that area.
In this regard, officer-in-charge of Roumari police station OC Rap Kumar Sarkar said that the car involved in the accident and the driver have been arrested.
