The new committee of Awami Jubo Mahila League has been announced. Daisy Sarwar has been made the president and Sharmin Sultana Lilly the general secretary of the committee. Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader announced the new committee at the Jubo Mahila League conference at historic Suhrawardy Udyan on Thursday (December 15). The new president, Aleya Sarwar Daisy, was previously vice president. And Sharmin Sultana Lilly was the organizing secretary of the previous committee. Earlier, the conference of Bangladesh Jubo Mahila League, one of Bangladesh Awami League’s subsidiary organizations, started at 12:01 PM. Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the conference by hoisting the national flag. Incidentally, outgoing President Nazma Akhter and General Secretary Apu Ukil were leading the organization since its inception on March 5, 2004. After that, these two were re-appointed in the next conference on March 17, 2017. For the last 18 years, these two were the leaders of the Yuva Mahila League.
