Kurigram Maternal and Child Health Scheme Information meeting held.

Information meeting of Kurigram Maternal and Child Health Project was held. The meeting was held at the office of the Directorate of Women Affairs, Kurigram on Sunday. It was presided over by the Deputy Director of the Department of Women’s Affairs Jebun Necha. Local grassroots organization Fight Until Light (FULL) youth organization organized the event.
Municipal Mayor Kaziul Islam, Senior Journalist Humayun Kabir Surya, Bhogdanga UP Chairman Alhaj Saidur Rahman, Jatrapur UP Chairman Abdul Gafur, Ghogadah UP Chairman Abdul Malek Sarkar, Holokhana UP Chairman Rezaul Karim Reza, Panchgachi UP Chairman Abdul Baten Sarkar, Belgacha UP spoke. Chairman Md Liton Miah, Mughalbasa UP Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Milon, Full NGO Executive Director Abdul Quader and others.
In the notification meeting, it was said that 55 beneficiaries of the 2-year project from each ward of the union will get free medical care up to 60 thousand taka based on the criteria. Pravasjan and Relatives provided financial support to the project and Kurigram District Directorate of Women Affairs provided technical support. In the first phase, activities will be started in Kurigram Sadar Upazila. After that, it was mentioned in the notification meeting that the activities will be expanded to 5 more upazilas.
