Saifur Rahman Shamim, Kurigram. The number of cold-related patients in the hospitals is also increasing with the increasing severity of winter in the northern district of Kurigram.

 Dr. Resident Medical Officer of Kurigram General Hospital.  Shahinur Rahman Sardar said that 336 patients were admitted to the indoor hospital on Sunday with various problems related to winter.  Besides, 82 people are under treatment in children and diarrhea ward.

Chairman of Panchgachi Union of Kurigram Sadar Upazila Abdul Baten Sarkar said that only 500 blankets have been received by the government.  Members got only 22 in share.  Difficulty in distribution.

 District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Abdul Hai Sarkar said that 38,000 blankets have already been distributed.  A new 1 lakh 14 thousand blankets have been requested from the district administration.  15 thousand blankets have been found out of this.
