On December 10, a rally and discussion meeting was held in Sundarganj of Gaibandha on the occasion of Independence Day. On December 10 (Saturday), the program was started by hoisting the flag at the office of the Muktijoddha Sangsad organized by Sundarganj Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad. After that, a rally came out from there and ended up at the same place after touring the upazila square and a discussion meeting was held. Under the chairmanship of Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Saiful Islam, Upazila Chairman and Upazila Awami League General Secretary Ashraful Alam Sarkar Lebu spoke as the chief guest.
