Historic Homecoming Day celebrated at Manirampur Women’s College.

A discussion meeting and prayers were held on the occasion of historic Homecoming Day at Manirampur Women’s Degree College.  Acting Principal Afroza Mahmud presided over the program organized in the hall of the college at 11:30 on Tuesday (January 10).  Md Mizanur Rahman, Associate Professor Md. Abbas Uddin, Associate Professor Bidyut Roy, Assistant Professor Manju Biswas, Assistant Professor M.  Alauddin, Assistant Professor Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Professor Al-Mahmud etc.

2 motorcycle riders killed in road accident in Jessore.

Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Shantala area of ​​Jessore Jhenaidah highway. The accident happened around 9:30 pm on Tuesday.  The deceased are Bulu Mia (40) of Barobazar Badur Gacha village of Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah district and Hayrat Ali (35) of Syedpur Kodalipur area of ​​Chougacha.  Hayrat Ali is a hired motorcycle driver and Bulu Mia businessman by profession.

 It is known that after finishing work from Jessore city, Bulu Mia and Hayrat Ali left for home on a motorcycle.  On the way, they met with an accident at a place called Shantala Pepsi Company in Jessore cantonment.  However, the police could not determine whether they collided with the vehicle.  Locals came to see the accident car on the side of the road and two dead on the spot.  Later, the local residents informed the police and fire service personnel and recovered the two bodies and sent them to Jessore General Hospital morgue.

 Police Inspector (Investigation) AKM Shafiqul Alam Chowdhury said that it was not confirmed with what the two motorcyclists were involved in the accident.  The victims were rescued and sent to Jessore General Hospital morgue.
