 Inauguration of the committee and cultural program.

 Inauguration of the newly-elected Executive Committee of Kurigram District Sports Association and cultural program was held at Kurigram Outdoor Stadium.  Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saidul Arif as the chief guest welcomed all the newly elected members with flowers and read the oath.  Superintendent of Police Al Asad Md. Mahfuzul Islam, Civil Surgeon Dr. Manzoor A. Murshed, Founder Chairman of North Bengal Museum and Principal of Law College Advocate SM Abraham Lincoln (recipient of Ekushey Medal), President of District Women’s Sports Association Reshmin Jannat Laki, District Art.  Rasheduzzaman Babu, general editor of the academy, Abdul Khalek Farooq, general secretary of Kurigram Press Club, Additional Superintendent of Police Ruhul Amin and others.  Md. Minhajul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Election Commissioner of District Sports Association presided.  Later the outgoing general secretary formally handed over the responsibility to the newly elected general secretary Redwanul Haque Dulal.  The inauguration and handover ceremony was completed on Wednesday night.

 The date of election for the four-year district sports association was last December 31.  If a single nomination paper is submitted for 27 posts, the election commissioner declares all elected unopposed.  The elected are Vice President Sirajul Islam Tuku, Vice President Municipal Mayor Qaziul Islam, Vice President Abu Md Sayeed Hasan Loban, Vice President Ahsan Habib Nilu, General Secretary Redwanul Haque Dulal, Additional General Secretary Zaman Ahmed Kajal, Joint Secretary Mahmudun Nabi.  Munna and Tapas Das Mana, Treasurer Abdul Mateen, Executive members are- Zillur Rahman Titu, Rezaul Karim Raju, Nurannabibulu, Aminul Islam, Gias Khan, Ashraful Alam, Mamunur Rashid Titas, Khandkar Md. Wahidunnabi Sagar, Dr. GM Arifur Rahman, Akhtaruzzaman, Masud.  Parvez, Saqib Islam Sohag, Rafiqul Islam Jhungku, Rakibuzzaman Roni, Abdus Chalam, Anaduzzaman, Rokhshana Begum Lipi and Feroza Begum. The post title is President of District Sports Association, Deputy Commissioner 1st Vice President Police Superintendent 2nd Vice President Additional District Commissioner and Executive Member District Sports Officer. Later, a wonderful cultural program was performed.
