An awareness raising workshop was held at Bagatipara in Natore to prevent fake notes. The workshop was held on Thursday (March 2) morning at the upazila parishad auditorium under the initiative of Bangladesh Bank Rajshahi branch and with the support of Sonali Bank Ltd. Bagatipara branch. Upazila Parishad Chairman Ahidul Islam Gokul was present as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Sonali Bank Bagatipara branch manager Shafiul Alam. Upazila Executive Officer Nilufa Sarkar, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Suraiya Mumtaz, Female Vice Chairman Khodeja Begum Shapla, Vice Chairman Abdul Hadi, Municipal Mayor AKM Shariful Islam Lelin, Upazila A-League President Nurul Islam spoke as special guests. Thandu and brave freedom fighter Shyamal Kumar Roy. Bangladesh Banker Rajshahi Branch Joint Director Motahar Hossain and Government Director Shahinur Alam along with managers of all local banks and other bank officials-employees, teachers, businessmen, journalists and people from various walks of life were present. In the event, the speakers discussed the method of identifying fake money, the evils and effects of fake money and informing the general public about the awareness.
