On the occasion of the 48th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day, a discussion meeting, prayer and public banquet were held by the Manirampur Upazila Sramik League of Jessore. Senior vice president of Manirampur Upazila Awami League Amjad Hossain Lovelu was present as the chief guest in the function organized at Mainroad Dhan Hata on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Upazila Sramik League convenor Babul Karim Bablu. In the speech of the chief guest, public leader Amjad Hossain Lovelu highlighted the brutal history of the killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the various developments of the Awami League government and urged people to vote by boat and prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyrs including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Manirampur Upazila Women’s Awami League President Rita Rani Pare, Haridaskati Union Awami League President Bhanjan Pare, Awami League Leader Tarek Mirza, Municipal Labor League Convener Abul Kalam Azad, former Municipal Member Abdur Rahman, Jatiya Sramik League member of Manirampur Upazila Sramik League were present. Mustafizur Rahman Tulu, Haridas Kati Union Awami League organizing secretary Adiuzzaman Rana, former women member Jyochna Kabir, Upazila Sramik League joint convener Jahangir Islam Bulbul, former municipal member Abdur Rahman, former Manirampur College Chhatra League convener Abu Huraira Helal, Chalwahati Union influential members of Awami League. Awami League, Jubo League, Sramik League, Mahila Awami League and Chhatra League along with Anichuzzaman Anich. At the event, Awami League lovers called Dhal. After the discussion, prayers were prayed for the souls of all the martyrs including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and a public feast was held at Manirampur Government Pilot School ground.
