BNP Central Committee Senior Joint Secretary General and Kurigram native Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi protested the issuance of arrest warrant on the initiative of Kurigram District BNP held an immediate protest and rally. On Thursday, August 31, at noon, the procession left the party office in Moktarpara and circled the city and held a rally at Dada Mor. District BNP Vice President Shafiqul Islam Bebu spoke under the chairmanship of District BNP Joint General Secretary Ashraful Haque Rubel, District BNP Former Vice President Shahiruzzaman Saju, Assistant General Secretary Idris Ali, Rajshahi New Degree College Former GS Anisur Rahman Feroz, Sadar Upazila BNP. General Secretary Mahbubur Rahman, District Youth Dal General Secretary Nadeem Ahmed, District Chhatra Dal General Secretary Hasan Zubair Himel etc.
Speakers in the meeting said that such false arrest warrants have been issued in an unsuccessful attempt to politically attack the top leaders of BNP like Rizvi Ahmed. He demanded immediate withdrawal of these false cases along with the cessation of harassment.
