Driving test and biometrics will be conducted on the same day in Khulna.

Khulna In building Smart Bangladesh, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Khulna office has inaugurated same day driving license test and biometric acceptance. On Monday morning, the opening ceremony was organized in the premises of Shiromani (BRTA) circle office in Khulna. Khulna Additional District Magistrate Mir Alif Reza was the chief guest on the occasion. Director Engineer of Khulna BRTA. Assistant Director (Eng.) Engineer Tanveer Ahmed delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Applicants flocked to the office of BRTA from morning to take this opportunity. Driving license aspirants are happy to undergo fingerprinting and test in one day. The license aspirants said that earlier the results of the test were given after taking the test to get the license. After seven to 10 days after getting the police verification and dope test in hand, fingerprints were taken after a week. BRTA authorities are going to implement Smart Bangladesh keeping in mind the suffering of the license aspirants. After completing all the procedures including fingerprinting and taking the test in one day, the driver’s license will be issued in no time. This license will be delivered to the applicant’s home. Reportedly, instead of two applications for learner driving license and smart card driving license online based a combined form has been launched on BRTA Service Portal (BSP). In this case, the applicant has to come for the exam and bio-enrolment only once instead of five to six times with the learner card. Also, from this system, applicants can receive online verification based QR code with learner’s license, pay fees, get test results, submit system generated smart card application, receive QR code based system generated temporary driving permit or acknowledgment slip and prepare application form or card. You can know the status of each stage. Moreover, you can receive smart cards by post. To get this service one has to enter the BRTA service portal and enter the National Identity Card number and date of birth to open the User ID. BRTA Khulna Circle Assistant Director Tanveer Ahmed said that earlier the candidates had to come to the BRTA office multiple times. Now the license candidate will come only once. In one day the license aspirants will take the driving license test and pass through biometrics on the same day. This will increase the quality of customer service. Biometric will be taken only once. But those who pass the driving license test will submit the fee online. Then the customer’s card will be delivered through the post office. In this the customer will get smart service.
