Natore District Awami League President Gurdaspur-Baraigram Constituency Member of Parliament Professor Abdul Quddus passed away while undergoing treatment (Innalillahi wainnillahi Rajiun). He breathed his last at 7:22 am on Wednesday, August 30 at the United Hospital in the capital.

Multiple family and political sources confirmed the death of MP Abdul Quddus at 9 am on Wednesday, August 30.

General Secretary of Gurdaspur Upazila Awami League and Chairman of Dharabarisha UP, Abdul Matin Master, a close companion of parliamentarians, said that the first funeral prayer of MP Quddus will be held at around 11 am today. After that, the dead body of this member of Parliament will be brought to Natore. His last Janaza prayers will be held at Natore Kanikhali ground at 4pm, Baraigram Pilot High School ground at 5pm, Gurdaspur Pilot High School ground at 6pm and after Maghrib at his native Bilsha Eidgah ground.

MP Abdul Quddus was taken to Dhaka by ambulance on August 26 Saturday evening due to breathing problems. Later, due to decreasing oxygen levels, the treatment was carried out in the ICU. From Saturday night to Wednesday morning, MP was being treated in the ICU.

He also said that this leader was supposed to be taken to Thailand for better treatment. But it was not possible due to deterioration of physical condition.

According to family sources, MP Abdul Quddus was suffering from respiratory problems for a long time. For this he was receiving regular treatment in Thailand.

Natore District Awami League General Secretary Shariful Islam Ramzan said that they are speechless over the death of their beloved leader. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
