A-League press conference in Laksam to protest the false statements of BNP leaders.

A-League’s press conference was held in Laksam in protest against the statements of central BNP leader Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain and some leaders of Laksam upazila BNP calling them lies in the center of BNP’s rally in Comilla. In a press conference organized at Laksam Upazila Awami League office at 11 am on Saturday (November 26), BNP leaders complained that Awami League in Laksam attacked and beat BNP leaders and took away their mobile phones. BNP leaders made ugly statements against local government minister Md Tajul Islam and Awami League leaders and workers. They also accused BNP and allied organizations of torture in torture cells at different places in Laksam. Which is completely false and fabricated. At this time, the speakers protested these false statements of BNP leaders. Upazila Awami League President Advocate Yunus Bhuiyan, Municipal Awami League President Tabarak Ullah Kayes, General Secretary Advocate Md. Rafiqul Islam Hira, Upazila Jubo League Convener and Municipal Mayor Prof. Abul Khair, Upazila Volunteer League General Secretary Prof. Jahangir Alam spoke at the press conference. School student killed in auto rickshaw overturn in Laksam.

A school student named Mohammad Hasan (15) was killed when a battery-operated auto-rickshaw lost control and fell down a bridge in Laksam upazila. 2 more passengers were seriously injured in this incident and they were admitted to local clinic and hospital. The accident happened on a bridge in front of the house of Ichapura Abdul Haque member of the upazila on Saturday (November 26) morning. The deceased school student Mohammad Hasan is the elder son of Monir Hossain Munna of Miyaji Bari of Ishapura village in Gobindpur Union. He was a ninth standard student of Ichapura Central High School. Locals said that Hasan was going to Ichapura Bazar for private study from his home in the morning by auto-rickshaw. The auto-rickshaw with three other passengers along with him came in front of Haque member’s house and while getting on the bridge, the auto-rickshaw lost control and overturned. At that time, school student Hasan fell from the autorickshaw under the bridge. Hasan was seriously injured when the rod under the bridge entered his neck and head. Two other passengers were also injured in the autorickshaw. After the witnesses rescued the injured and took them to the Upazila Health Complex, the doctor on duty declared Hasan dead.
