Brother blocked the way to his sister’s house by building a brick wall in Khulna.

Md. Shamim Hossain –

Khulna On the way out of the house in Harintana area of Khulna metropolis, his younger brother blocked the younger sister’s family by building a brick wall. The family has not been able to leave the house for the past few days. As the matter was not settled in the family, the sister finally filed a case in the additional district magistrate’s court on February 26. Hosneyara Khatun, the victim in the case, mentioned that her husband Nure Alam bought 4 percent of the land in the area adjacent to Khulna University from the famous land of her parents. There is an 8 feet wide path from their house to the main road. In the presence of local dignitaries, his brother Humayun Kabir Salu took 5 lakh 34 thousand taka for the land value of that road. They have been traveling that way for the past few years. As the price of land in the area increased, his brother Humayun became desperate to grab the land along Kabir’s route. First, intimidation is shown in various ways. As it did not work, they raised the brick wall and closed the only way of movement. Because of which they are not able to leave the house. Locals said that the land is the family land of Hosneyara and his brother Humayun Kabir. Out of this, 4 percent of the land was purchased by Hosneira and her husband and constructed a homestead. There was an 8 feet wide road to get out of their house. A few days ago, Humayun Kabir closed the brick wall on that street. Now the family has no alternative to leave the house. Locals said that this was done due to a family dispute. When asked about this, Humayun Kabir claimed to be a KCC photographer and said, ‘What you have heard is not the real story. The matter is very complicated, this incident has gone too far. He hung up the phone saying that it is no longer limited to brothers and sisters. After trying many times, he could not be found. Nure Alam Ziku, the husband of the victim Hosneyara, said that his brother-in-law Humayun Kabir had done such a selfish thing due to the increase in the value of the land. But he has paid the price of the road as per their demand. Currently, they have to spend their days in fear with their families. Local Harintana police station OC Emdadul Haque said that the matter has been filed in court. They can take necessary steps according to the instructions of the court.
