Batiaghata (Khulna) Representative

A young man died when he was hit by an electric wire while working on the diss line of “Dis Salaam” in Batiaghata. The incident happened on Wednesday morning in Gaughara Chardanga area of Surkhali Union of Batiaghata Upazila. According to local residents and victim sources, Hazizur Rahman Moral (22) works in the dis-line of Dis-salam in Batiaghata like every day. At 10 o’clock on Wednesday morning, while climbing the electricity pole, he fell to the ground after touching the electric wire. Later he was rescued by locals and admitted to Batiaghata Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Deceased Hafizur Moral’s house is in Gaogra Chandadanga village of upazila. His father’s name is Md. Harun Moral. The body has been sent to Khumek Hospital for post-mortem. According to a source, Batiaghata has been managing some dishonest officials including the GM of Dis Salam Electricity Department for a long time and has been doing the business of dis line by illegally using the dis wire in the electricity pole. Local residents strongly demanded that Dis Salam and the officials of the electricity department be brought under justice for this death.
