A case has been registered with the police regarding the rape of a teenage girl in the remote area of Lama Ghazalia in Bandarban. 4 days after the incident, the mother of the ethnic minority girl filed this case at the Lama police station as a plaintiff on Tuesday afternoon. The accused in the case is Jyotimoy Chakma (22), son of Vijay Chakma of Kulaikya Chakma neighborhood of Ghazalia union of the upazila.

Lama police officers in charge. Shamim Sheikh confirmed this information. Kishori Ghazalia is a third class student of Paharika Government Primary School.

In the plaintiff’s complaint, the girl’s mother, Lamar Sarai, went to the Quantum Foundation on Friday (August 25) morning. Jyotimoy Chakma, son of Vijay Chakma of the same neighborhood entered the house and raped the girl by force when no one was at home. And this girl became seriously ill due to excess bleeding.

Later last Monday (August 27) after noon, he was admitted to Lama Upazila Health Clinic.

OC of Lama police station. Shamim Sheikh said that legal action was taken after learning about the incident. Efforts are on to arrest the accused.
