The body of a man named Golam Rabbani (40) was exhumed from the grave after one year and six months in Gomstapur of Chapainawabganj. This body was exhumed from the Gangalpur Bishushetra cemetery of Gomstapur Union of the upazila on Wednesday (30 August) in the presence of Executive Magistrate Bipasha Hossain. At that time, Dr. Khalidur Rahman, the investigating officer of the case, SI Shaukat Ali and the locals were present.
According to the statement of the case, Golam Rabbani’s wife’s estranged lover killed her husband on March 16 last year and buried the body. Later, when the matter came to light, Golam Rabbani’s younger wife filed a murder case in the court. After reviewing the case, His Majesty’s court ordered the exhumation of the body.
