Human chain and protest meeting against terrorism, encroachment and anarchists at Baliakandi in Rajbari Complaints of anti-discrimination student movement and general students against Moshiul Azam Chunnu.

This human chain program was held in front of Jamalpur Degree College of Baliakandi Upazila of Rajbari District on Sunday (September 8).

Attending the human chain, ordinary students called upon everyone to unite against terrorism, occupation and anarchists and while referring to various incidents that have happened in the country recently, referring to an unsatisfactory incident that happened in their college, they said,

Last September 2 (Monday) in the afternoon at Jamalpur Degree College of Baliakandi Upazila of Rajbari District, a group of outsiders led by Moshiul Azam Chunnu entered the college and showed vandalism, anarchy and intimidation.

At this time hundreds of goons led by Chunnu entered the principal’s room and ordered him to propose his own name as the convenor of the college forcefully in a terrorist manner.

At that time, ordinary teachers and students were panicked and teaching in the classroom was stopped. During the description of the incident, ordinary students said,

We don’t want to see such uncivilized rioters in the convening committee of the college. If such a person gets the responsibility of guardian of the educational institution, the educational environment in the educational institution will be destroyed and their terrorist influence will hinder the normal functioning of the educational institution. If such a person is appointed as a guardian in an important place like the education arena, he gives a stern warning that the common students will not accept it and by preventing such activities, they will bring back the atmosphere of civilized education system in the educational institution.

According to the source of the incident, Zakir Hossain Mridha, Principal of Jamalpur Degree College filed a written complaint against the behavior of the accused Mashiul Azam Chunnu to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.

Principal Zakir Hossain Mridha said in reply to the questions of the journalists that Jamalpur Degree College has received an instruction to propose the name of a person as a guardian and send it to the National University (VC). According to him, Chunnu came to college but his behavior after coming to college was not satisfactory.

He also said that common students have filed a complaint against Chunnu. In fact, the matter is not in my hands, the matter will be informed to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer. Further steps will be taken under their guidance.

General students participated in the protesting human chain called by the students of anti-discrimination student movement and strongly condemned and protested the uncivilized behavior of Mashiul Azam Chunnu in the classroom. At the same time, he submitted a memorandum to the principal demanding legal action against Chunnu.

During this time, Sarafat Islam, Anik, Murad Sheikh, Ashiq Sheikh, Nabil Dewan, Sifat etc. were present among the anti-discrimination student movement and ordinary students.
