Chhatra League leaders resigned with status in Char Rajivpur upazila of Kurigram.

Kodalkati Union Committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League has been formed in Char Rajibpur Upazila of Kurigram. There are calls for resignation from the newly formed committee. So far 4 people have resigned including vice president, organizational secretary.
On January 14 Char Rajibpur Upazila Chhatra League President Md. Khairul Islam and General Secretary Md. Bayezid Islam (Vijay) signed the official pad of Chhatra League, the Kodalkati Union Union Committee of Chhatra League was approved.
But from the committee of the newly formed Kodalkati Union Chhatra League, vice-president Md. Russell Miah, joint general secretary Md. Sujan Miah, joint general secretary Md. Hafizur Rahman and organizational secretary Md. Suman Rana have announced their resignations on social media Facebook.
Russell Mia, who resigned from the post of vice-president of the committee of the newly formed Kodalkati Union Chhatra League, said, “He has been involved with the politics of the Chhatra League for a long time. I was a candidate for president of Kodalkati Union Chhatra League, but the leaders of Upazila Chhatra League gave the money exchange committee and in that committee I was underestimated and kept as vice president.’
Chhatra League activist Faridul Islam said, “I was asked for a large amount of money for the post of general secretary and I was not kept in the committee because I could not pay the money.”
He announced his resignation on Facebook and said, “I will submit a written resignation letter to the president-editor of the District Chhatra League soon.”
A union Chhatra League leader who did not want to be named said, “4 people have resigned. Many more will resign, and submit it in writing to the District Chhatra League.
In this context, Md Khairul Islam, president of Rajibpur Upazila Chhatra League, said, ‘Chhatra League is a huge organization. The committees have been approved by ensuring transparency. The matter of giving the committee through money is completely false.’
He also said, ‘There are many who are hoping for a position in a committee. Not everyone can be placed in one position, everyone is qualified. Maybe they resigned due to misunderstanding or not getting the post. However, he hopes that these misunderstandings will end soon and they will play an active role in BCL politics.
General Secretary of Rajibpur Upazila Chhatra League Md. Bayezid Islam (Bijoy) said, ‘Many people have sent CVs for the post of president and general secretary, but not everyone can be given the post. We declare a committee with one president and one general secretary. Maybe they are resigning without getting the original post. No one can prove that the committee was not paid by way of money. A nefarious circle is spreading bad name in our name.’
In this regard, Md. Raju Ahmed, president of Kurigram District Chhatra League, said, ‘Rajibpur Upazila Chhatra League, Sanmlon has formed a committee of Union Chhatra League after verifying CVs for a long time. I am not aware of the fact that activists have resigned from those committees. No one has submitted written resignation to me yet
