Zahid Hasan, a businessman of Ashulia in Savar, was allegedly robbed of cash and checkbook by holding him hostage at gunpoint. Asim Gupta, Abu Saeed and Rezaul Karim were directly involved in this incident. The accused are employees of businessman Zahid Hasan’s company. The incident took place on Saturday (August 10, 2024) at around 7 pm in Charbagh area of ​​Ashulia in the battery manufacturing factory of businessman Zahid Hasan named ‘Power Plus’.

 

It is known that businessman Zahid Hasan could not manage the ‘Power Plus’ battery factory in Charbagh area of ​​Ashulia for the past 9 months due to extortion. Zahid Hasan, a businessman, gave cover for a few days to escape from the extortionists. In his absence, Purchase Manager Abu Saeed and Accounts Manager Asim Gupta managed all the activities of the factory.

 

After a few days, everyone’s true form comes out. The accused employees used to intimidate the businessman Zahid Hasan without giving any account statement of the factory. Later, businessman Zahid Hasan went to the factory on the evening of August 10 and asked for an account. Before he could understand anything, the accused took Tk 10 lakh cash and 2 checkbooks of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and 1 checkbook of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited in the name of the company as hostages at gunpoint. Later, Asim Gupta, Abu Saeed and Rezaul Karim went to get the stamp for the dishonest purpose of grabbing the factory and businessman Zahid Hasan managed to escape. Later, Zahid Hasan came to Dhaka and received first aid, he said.

 

Tried to contact the accused on the phone but none of them answered the phone.

 

Till this report was written, it is said that the preparations for filing a complaint at the police station were going on.
